IUGR Induction tomorrow. Internal fetal monitor!

I will be 38 weeks tomorrow and I am scheduled to be induced at 5am because my baby isn't growing due to my placenta. The dr wants to start off with cervidil then go from there, when I'm dilated up to 2cm or 3cm they want to place the internal monitor into my vagina which connects to my babies head. I really want to opt that out unless they are having problems with his heart beat. Has anyone gone through this?! Tell me your experiences when being induced.
