Self cleaning oven??

Question

Has anyone used the self cleaning oven while pregnant?! I turned mine on and it started to smell so around 30 mins in if that I turned it off opened all the doors and some windows plus had the over head fan on. Should I be worried?! I wasn’t even thinking about the fumes! I was trying not to use any oven cleaner so I thought I would try the self cleaner

They work by heating everything up to, like, 500 degrees. It does smell, but it's not chemicals, it's food turning to ash. Then you sweep the ash out. It shouldn't be a problem health wise.

Mine just self cleans with water. If you didn’t use any cleaner then I don’t think there’s any reason to worry about the fumes

I made that mistake when I was pregnant with my first. I couldn’t stand the smell. It was my first time so I had no idea!!!! I opened the windows and stuck it out. Lol but I will not do that with this pregnancy. Nooo way. Lmao

I would be careful because I've heard self cleaning ovens do create nasty fumes and I have read stories where it kills pet birds. Obviously humans and birds are different. I wouldn't take the risk being pregnant but that's just me.
