How do i dry up my milk?

I don’t want to pump anymore but if i go without pumping i get engorged

I heard you can put cabbage on your boobs & let it sit. I personally just slowly stopped pumping/feeding & it finally didn’t hurt so bad then they dried up.

wear sports bras all the time. 
when you shower, dont let the hot water run down your breasts. 
buy a head of cabbage, take off the leaves, and put them in a bowl in your fridge. 
put the leaves(one for each of your boobs) in your sports bra, and let them sit there until they get warm and start to wilt. replace as often as needed. the cold cabbage leaves feel amazing. good luck!

I actually stopped cold turkey I stopped both, I didn’t pump or breastfeed and just left them alone the doc said not to touch them or do anything at all if I want my milk to dry up and have my breasts to go back to normal.. the hardness and soreness will go away after a couple of days after leaving them alone make sure u wear a sports bra and put nipple pads for leakage

Depending on how quickly you want to stop you can try going as long as possible between pumping/feeding then only pump through one letdown. Also put cabbage leaves in your bra.

OTC decongestant like sudafed can help dry up your milk. Wear a tight fitting sports bra day and night. Cabbage leaves for pain and inflammation. If you get engorged, which you probably will, only express enough to keep you comfortable. It’s going to be a several day process it won’t happen instantly.
