Moms! Talk to me about your experiences with low lying placenta. I had a very unexpected major bleeding episode Saturday morning and have been in the hospital since. Healthy low risk pregnancy before this. I was diagnosed with a low lying placenta (1cm away from the cervix). I’m 27 weeks. Bleeding stopped and they say I can go home tomorrow on pelvic rest. They don’t know if my placenta will move out the way or not and they don’t know if I’m going to have another major bleed. Nothing caused the bleed....No sex or strenuous activities the days before hand. So no way to know if it can be prevented or could happen again anytime.

Tell me how this turned out if you went through something similar. I’m at peace with a c section is that’s what needs to happen.... would love to hear stories though. Baby is healthy by the way and I got IV iron and steroids for the blood loss and to help baby in case he has to come early.
