I am 4 (almost 5) days postpartum and I have never felt this good. I am so in love with our daughter. I am so in love with my Fiance. I feel great about myself. I feel great about my body. It has been through so much these last 9 months and it was strong enough to do it all. I carried my beautiful little girl for 9 months, I went through a short labor, and I delivered within 40 minutes of pushing.

My labor was awful, I was having constant back to back contractions. It was all back labor. My original plan of no epidural went out the window because I was having no time to rest and I couldn't get up and move around because of her heartrate having to be monitored. Even though I got the epidural, I still felt every second of her delivery. The epidural ran out right before she started crowing.

My little girl was born with the cord wrapped around her neck and coverd in meconium. She was completely purple and didn't cry at first. The first thing I heard after she was delivered was my OB yelling, "Oh my god! She is beautiful!" and then she sang Happy Birthday to her. My little girl latched almost immediately, and then ate for TWO HOURS.

I feel so powerful. I feel like a brand new person. I just feel so incredible.

Also, I'm going to brag on my body for a little bit. I wore my high waisted prepregnancy jeans 3 days PP. I have almost completely stopped bleeding. The first, and all of the pp poops have been super easy. My cramps are almost completely gone. My body is healing itself at an incredible rate. I was as expecting recovery to be terrible, but it has been insanely easy for me.
