Am I being petty?

Question

My husband's ex girlfriend will text him out of the blue. I expressed on multiple occasions how him texting back hurt me. Well, the cellphones are in my name so I was able to block her number. Does this make me a petty little witch or am I justified in my actions ?

I don’t think it’s petty but I don’t think this is headed anywheres good if he can’t respect you enough to not text this girl when you’ve told him it bribers you... I feel like things will just get sneakier..

Your married so I’m guessing this ex is from a long time ago? 
Personally I think you blocking it is going to cause you more issues than solve as you’ve done it yourself not him.
He needs to be the one to get her out his life otherwise it shows he doesn’t , and obviously if he’s texting her back he doesn’t want that. 
You need to sit down with him and talk about this properly

Your husband needs to check himself. What business does he have replying to an ex girlfriend? Keeping options open? Your married son, respect your wife.

In my opinion I think you made matters worst by blocking her. That’s your husband’s responsibility. If she only texted, now there’s a bigger chance she might call him at work or with a different number you will not know about. It’s his doing and he needs to understand he can’t have ties with an ex, but with this being done, he’ll find any excuse to his defense. Just because you acted out of jealousy. If he doesn’t know that you blocked her, I would unblock her and have another serious talk with him. If he doesn’t want to give you your place than there’s something more between them and than, you’ll have to decide. Maybe then, you can tell him: “If she’s the problem I’m gonna block her and if you go looking for her than it’s you and not her”. Or “let me talk to her while your here and I’ll tell her to back off”... but don’t do things behind his back... stand your ground!

You have every right to be hurt. But blocking the number isn’t something I would do. My SO is a grown ass man and if I have to mother him and block someone for him, that’s a huge problem. I’d hope he would handle it himself

I would’ve done the same but you need to talk to him cuz in all honesty he should’ve been the one to tell her to leave him alone and block her. You need to find out why he wouldn’t.

If I was in that situation I would’ve done the same but I also wouldn’t because it’s my man’s responsibility to tell her to leave him (us) alone and that’s he’s happy now + blocking her. 
The way it sounds, it sounds like your man didn’t want to block her or he would’ve done it a long time ago 🤷🏻‍♀️ my opinion
