Calling in-laws “Mom” & “Dad?”

(Sorry if this is off-topic, fam) 
I’ve been married for two years to an amazing man with SUCH a great family.
Occasionally, it’s just easier to refer to his parents as mom/dad, but I hate to admit I still stumble over my words in deciding to call them by name or not 😅 I’ve always wondered: is it the norm to refer to your in-laws as mom/dad?

I choose to call them by their names or by what my daughter would call them. 
My parents are my parents, my in-laws aren’t so I don’t feel comfortable using those titles.

I call my mother-in-love (mother-in-law), "Mama Sandra". I call my father-in-love (father-in-law), "Dad". My husband calls my mom "Ma" lol, he calls my dad "Doc" (I'm guessing because he is a doctor, not sure. 🤷🏾‍♀️) or "Pops". I have no idea how he came up with those names, but my parents do not have any issues with them lol.

My husband calls my parents mom and dad, but I don’t call his that. It’s not that I’m offended by it, we just aren’t close enough to make that not-weird to me. My husband is much closer to my family than to his own, unfortunately. That has been by their doing, not ours.
