Fitness rant
Before being pregnant, I was very physically active. Then week 4 hit, and the 24/7 nausea made it impossible to do much of anything. I tried to push through it and continue working out, but it made my nausea worse. Jump ahead to now, I'm 8 weeks. Yesterday was the best I've felt in literally weeks, so I went and did an advanced yoga class during my lunch break at work (which I did regularly prior to pregnancy). It felt soo good to feel semi normal again! After I get back & changed, I ran into my boss. She gave me a very odd look and said "so you're still obsessed with working out even though you're pregnant? You need to concentrate of eating all the time instead". Why is there chronic hate for people who do work out, prior to pregnancy, and continue it in pregnancy? I think it's crap. Maybe it's the hormones, but it seriously pissed me off. I'm not going to apologize for caring about body, or because I don't want to stuff my face with donuts and sweets all day like a lot of my coworkers. I actually eat every 2 hrs since being pregnant or I'll throw up. Has anyone else experienced negativity with being physically active during your pregnancy? It was one annoyance before being pregnant, now it just makes me angry people would complain about it!
