Any body have a 3 week old that fights to sleep during the day ?

3 week old wakes up 4 times a night . Roughly every 2-3 hours . But during the day she's up for so long before she naps . I keep reading that there awake time is only around an hour at this age 
Anyone experience this ?

I agree with bottom comment. It’s normal for babies that young to be alert and awake for about an hour. But if it’s extending beyond that, you may have missed cues baby was ready for bed and now they are overly tired which makes it harder to fall asleep. You know as a teen when you stayed up later than you should and you’re exhausted but then you get that second wind and your good for another hour or two, or your suddenly super hyper and energetic? Same thing happens to babies! So after about an hour try and help baby soothe themselves to sleep- put them in a quiet, darker environment and let them relax. Even if baby doesn’t sleep right away it sends the signal to her brain to at least slow down and relax.

Idk but with my little guy he has days where he wants to be up literally all day and then have other days where he makes up for it by literally sleeping all day. He has been like that even when he was in my tummy so I don’t get worried and just accept it as his own pattern.

You gotta watch for signs and as soon as they start looking tired try to get them to sleep. Rubbing eyes, glassy eyes, staring off into space, yawning, etc. Otherwise they go past it and get wired and don't sleep lol. It's like a 'second wind'. I kept missing it with my girl and she would end up awake for 6hrs and then trying to get her to sleep was a disaster. Now she is 3 months and is usually awake about 2 hours between naps.
