Vitamin d in pregnancy

My midwife suggest me to take vitamin d .but she didn’t mention how much amount of tablets do I need to take .

I have normal level of vitamin d in my reports.

Can I take vitamin d3 1000iU one tablet per day ?

Is it safe in pregnancy?
