What do breastfeeding moms need in the hospital?

I’m packing my hospital bag and I’m unsure of what I’ll need when I’m in the hospital when it comes to breastfeeding. What are some things you were really glad you had or wished you had? Anything you think made breastfeeding easier?
Any recommendations or advice is welcome!

I didn’t bring anything besides a nursing bra. I guess you could bring a boppy or some sort of nursing pillow but I rarely use mine. That’s the great thing about breastfeeding! You don’t need anything and it’s free!

Nursing bra/top if you don’t plan to wear the hospital gown the whole time. 
I also brought my boppy so the LC could show me the best positions to use. 
They provided lanolin and gel pads for me.

Definitely a boppy pillow!! I forgot mine and using thin hospital pillows that slide away was awful.

Ice packs (if you want) 
Nursing tank tops

I took my nipple cream, breast pads, gel pads, nursing pillow, nursing bras, nipple shield (only used them twice), and pump (did not use it while there). The hospital (at least the one I delivered at, not sure about others) actually provides nursing pillows, nipple cream, gel pads, and breast pads, but I wanted to use my own. 🤷🏾‍♀️

Lanolin nipple cream, soft breast pads, nursing cover if you feel like you need one, maybe a nursing pillow (I brought mine but didn’t use it), comfortable nursing bra(s)

Just nursing sleep bras or tanks. Some breast pads (but I didn’t need them til after I got home). My hospital gave me lanolin but if you have a specific nipple cream you want to use.

Nothing but a nursing top. Ask your hospital for anything else. They give it to you. I told them my nips were tender. They gave me lanolin and gel pads to put over them.

All I brought was nipple cream. And that’s all I needed. I didn’t wear a bra the whole time, there’s no need.
