Hey fellow mamas, I really need to rant about something ! Im sure if you look back on my profile on here you can see when i posted about my birth story with my son, 3 years ago.

So with my son, i ended up having him at home, delivered by paramedics.. OBVIOUSLY that wasnt my plan .. 🙄 and if you read my story..... i didn’t just sit around home until my baby “fell out”

I did my part, i went to the hospital after bein in labour for 8 hours! & they wouldn’t admit me because i was only 2cm dilated, so they sent me home after 4 hours of walking around trying to progress ... & giving me a shot of morphine & gravol... THEY SENT ME HOME. Hours went by, i had supper, a bath & went to sleep for maybe an hour. I woke up with BAD contractions & was bleeding a bit. I DID MY PART & called labour and delivery. (They said to call if i was bleeding or my water broke) labour and delivery told me to “put a pad on and call back in an hour”

Not even a half hour later my water broke & i felt the need to push. We called 911 & paramedics showed up in like 5 mins, they checked me & told me i was ready to push. 2 pushes & my son was born ! After 25 hours of labour..!

So thats my story with my son, as you can see, I DID MY PART !!! It’s the damn hospital’s fault i ended up delivering at home.... 😒

So what i need to rant about.... I’m 31 weeks pregnant with my 2nd, & i just keep hearing comments like , “dont have this one at home” “make sure you get to the hospital in time this time” “make sure you go to the hospital as soon as you have a slight pain” .... like people are convinced the baby is just gonna fall out... ummm sorry, but i was in labour for 25 HOURS with my first. I remember, clearly everyone seems to forget that part .

Idk, maybe its just a joke, maybe its a legit concern. But im FUCKING sick of hearing it. I DID MY PART with my first, i didn’t just wait around & have my baby at home. It didn’t “happen fast” like everyone seems to think. (Not til the end anyways, when the hospital STILL failed me) 😒 i just really needed to bitch and get this out, cus the next person that says these stupid things to me, is gonna get an ugly side of me, its so irritating. Would you find this irritating if it were you?
