Ultrasound at 4 weeks ?

Doc wants me to come in for blood work and ultrasound after I just called and said I’m pregnant again after my last chemical? 
What is the point of a ultrasound this early ? Would it show anything?

It would only show the gestational sac I think

I did at 4w4d due to having history of ectopic. My baby is just at the right spot where it should be, just seen gestational sac. Will be back 2 weeks later.

My dr did this to rule out another ectopic after my first one resulted in an emergency  surgery. We were happy to see the sac all snuck and situated in my uterus and  not my tube.

Probably just precaution since you had a chemical last time. From there they will probably have you go in every 2 weeks till your 8-9 weeks
