I am gay and Christian. What do you think about it?

The Bible is clear (and I can explain how) on its stance on a lifestyle of homosexuality. This does mean the attraction is not a sin, which is a necessary distinction. That being said, homosexuality takes up not even 1% of the Bible’s words, but God’s infinite love covers the whole thing in oceans of words. God loves you. He always has, always will, and nothing can change that. We can’t earn God’s love, so we can’t lose it or increase it. God loves you as much as He ever will. And Romans 5:8, one of my favorite passages, says that even at your worst, Jesus still chose to die an excruciating death for you. He suffered a lot, one aspect being dying of asphyxiation after six hours of hanging from a tree (and thus being revoked as cursed by his fellow Jews according to the Mosaic Law). This sounds gruesome, but sin can’t just be swept away. That’s why Jesus chose this suffering (and then resurrection). He wanted to bear it to restore us to Him. He loves you, always has and always will. Nothing can change that. His standards are unchanging, but He changes us and always loves us even if we hate Him. His love is totally unconditional. Please know that.

It doesn’t matter what any of us thinks about it. What matters is what God thinks about it. And his thoughts on the matter are in his word, the bible, in 1 Corinthians 6:9 and 1 Timothy 1:10.

Based off of God’s word, which is the Bible, being gay is a sin. This doesn’t mean that any other person should judge you for your sins, just as they wouldn’t expect you to call them out for lying or lusting or any other sin they might commit. God is the true judge and he does say it is wrong.

Love is love. Any “Christian” who says otherwise is no Christian. I’m Catholic and I believe that God doesn’t give a fuck who you choose to love. As long your love is pure and truly good, then carry on

God made mad to be with woman not for them to be with the same sex. In the Bible god burned down a village full of people who were gay and or lesbian. God still loves the person who is gay with all of his heart he just hates the sin.

So the all powerful, all knowing and loving god made you gay, knowing by his own standards that its a sin and that he will punish you forever for it?
