no. If you break up you’re done. You’re both free to do what you want. If you take a break then it’s just messy. Usually one person is asking for the break just so they can string the other along while they date other ppl, or one of them ends up sleeping with other ppl, they get back together, then fight about what they did on break

I will never understand the concept of breaks. It adds an entirely new level of complicated to a relationship that would already be complicated enough to begin with. So many people take breaks solely for the fact they feel like taking a new vag/dick for a test run, using the whole break thing as a cover for their need to cheat. Told my dude up front that if we hit a rough patch we're either gonna work this shit out now or we're breaking it off for good, I'm not getting mixed up in unnecessary drama.
