Sex at 34 weeks

I’m currently almost 34 weeks pregnant, my husband said last night when we were having sex it felt different as if he was hitting a wall.. i was a little crampy afterwards but no spotting or bleeding.. what could he have felt? I have a dr appointment on Friday but just a FTM

And it worried me..
