Took a test...

So I’m 3 days late, sore nipples for about a week, always use protection, and I’ve been freaking out for about a week about whether or not I’m pregnant, i do not want to be. I finally broke down crying and took a test tonight and it was negative but i don’t feel any better about it? Is it true that it could be a false negative if taken at night? But if i was really pregnant wouldn’t it show up still, considering I’ve had insanely sore nipples and every so often cramping mildly? I’m still freaking out even though it was negative. Please someone help me😭
