My doctor prescribed me yaz because i asked about birth control. But i have read about Yaz that it is for Pcos? I don't have pcos, i have regular periods and everything.
I don't understand? I just wanted birth control not medications for something i don't have.

Yaz is birth control, maybe helping people with PCOS is a ‘side effect’. Just like how most hormonal birth control helps with acne. That wasn’t the intended use but in the process they figured out that it helps with that as well.

Yaz is a birth control pill. Certain types of birth control are said to help different conditions (acne, strong menstrual cramps/PMS symptoms, PCOS.. etc...) so it can be prescribed for things other than preventing pregnancy. The reason you were reading about it being for PCOS is because it is also prescribed to help symptoms of that.
