I was wondering if any one else was diagnosed with hypothyroidism after their pregnancy? I believe my thyroid shut down during the pregnancy but could not convince a single person I saw to do a thyroid test. It was easier for them to discard a lot of my symptoms as normal pregnancy and my weight gain they insisted was due to over eating. 3 months after giving birth and still continuing to put on weight I convinced my sons Doctor to do the test. I have since been on medication, but have recently found out I am pregnant. Now I have the fear of the hypothyroidism and I just failed both glucose tolerance tests. I just feel so angry at OB for not listening, and constantly worry what effects this is going to have on the fetus.
