Anyone feel like the nesting stage won't happen?

I'm 37-2 waiting for the energy to come with the nesting stage and haven't had any and am afraid I won't and the baby will get here and my house will be a pit.

I will be having baby in 2 days and still have not hit the nesting stage, my hubby on the other hand it hit him hard tonight.  Idk if its actually that or his nerves either way i think its cute he trying to get everything ready for his baby girl.

I can't even bring myself to finishing my last 5 thank you cards! My energy is sucked dry. I just lay here thinking about all of the tasks I need to accomplish, but nothing is getting done.

I have the same fear. I'm so tired that I don't want to do much after work. Makes me so afraid about what will happen after baby when I'm more tired and busy.

I had the desire but no energy, which made me cry a lot! But then I realised I could get other people to do it! Cue builders ripping my bathroom out.

Big mistake. No easy access to a toilet for 3 days and no shower for 5.

Don't do it. Resist the urge to nest!!!!

My Aunt says it didn't happen for her until a week before she went into labor she got this burst of energy and cleaned everything. I had that Saturday and Sunday and been sick since. I sure hope it's not true for me because I want her to bake until her due date 9/28. On the other hand my sister in law never got the nesting phase of her pregnancy so I'm guessing some do and some don't.

I never had the nesting kick in with my first, but I do get it occasionally with this one

Since i got to 32 weeks my urge for nesting went crazy. I have a daily task for a week and if i dont do it I go nuts. My hubby told me that i should just take care of the baby but i cant help it.

I have had the desire but no energy until today. I mopped my floor which took forever, then wiped cabinets and walls down.... Then my 4 year old woke up from nap so that ends my rampage. Lol

I'm 39 weeks. I feel like I've had the DESIRE to nest for weeks, but the motivation and energy? Nope. Stuff has happened VERY slowly, some things I just let go of if my husband isn't able to do it. Whatever. Life will carry on, doesn't have to be perfect ☺️ Really important items are completed. I'll probably never have this house cleaned from top to bottom ever again, and I'm ok with that 😄
