Potty training help

I think my 2 year old is ready to potty train, but sometimes when I ask if she wants to sit on the potty she says no. I would like to have her sit on the potty every 20 minutes, but often she doesn’t want to. Do I just take her to the potty regardless, or is she not ready to start?
