Baby is coming😳😆

I’m 38+3 according to my LMP and ovulation but midwife put me at 37+3 so due between 11th and 18th of Feb although she’s been measuring 2 weeks bigger with fundal height. I’m also a FTM will try to keep this updated as much as possible :)

It’s currently 3:45am in West Aus and baby is coming!

12:00am wake up and need to go toilet nothing unusual about been getting up heaps the last trimester.

12:25 I wake up to a wet dribble I lay there thinking I’ve just emptied my bladder it shouldn’t be pee then I roll over and a massive gush comes out and it doesn’t stop... I don’t really believe it but wake my partner up and say Um I think my waters just broke... he looks at me like I’m crazy and goes what makes you think that then I stand up and another massive gush and he just goes oh um yeah 😂 poor guy was still half asleep!

12:30 ring midwife and let them know- also tell them we are 1.5hrs from hospital and they say come straight in. At this time I’m also packing my hospital bag and sorting out my partners stuff while he goes to the main house and talks to his dad about AI’ing sheep (we live and work on the family farm) and what needs to be done while he is away.

12:40 leave home (have to pump tire up and put fuel in car 😂)

12:50 slight contractions start nothing overly painful just niggly, laughing and singing in the car, still leaking water

2:00 stop in service station to get water and lollies

2:05 arrive at hospital have a listen to bubs heart and check waters which are still leaking. I’m allowed a shower so jump in and change my clothes. Realise my partner was half asleep when he got dressed and has rocked up with no clothes he is literally wearing the work clothes he wore yesterday 😂

2:30 midwife puts monitors on and checks contracts which are now very regular, I’m at 4cm (previously 0) and bubs is going well

3:00 monitors off, went toilet a little bit of blood from the check and very sloppy poo (sorry TMI)

3:30 waiting for monitors to go back on and check in again, contractions are definitely increasing in both pain and time currently 2.40 mins apart. Currently have had no pain relief and hoping to go as long as possible without it.
