Should I be mad?

The guy im with (and quite honestly the guy im going to marry) has a tattoo from a previous relationship. Its their anniversary and her name. Before you say it, yes, he knows hes fucking stupid but im.. not mad. It was something he did out of love, trust and commitment and quite frankly.. I honor that. He is so insecure about it and thinks I hate him for it but I really dont.

Basically how this went down was he was in a long distance relationship with someone much older than him. He was barely 20 she was late 20s with two kids. Over their relationship she lied to him and cheated on him multiple times before he found out. Every week he was sending her money to help support her children, he cared about this girl.

Their anniversary came up and he went to visit her and SHE surprised him with his name tattooed on her and she did the whole "if you loved me..." bla bla bla so he did. He cared about this woman, he was providing for her children and was ready to raise them. He got the tattoo and later found out she had been cheating on him.

Im not mad at my Partner, he thinks im crazy and should be. He is gonna get it covered up for his birthday as a present to himself. The only thing im a little mad about is there is another girl somewhere with HIS name.

To this day (last attempted on Christmas while I was with him) makes fake phone numbers to try and contact him.

I hate her more than anything honestly.
