Please read? Should I take this job?

Brandi

I am a psychology major planning on getting my doctorate in occupational therapy after graduating this spring. I applied for a position in a day treatment program for children with autism. My availability does not fit with the clinic’s schedule until my half semester class is done in March. They offered me a job as a direct support professional working in a group home, which I have done before. It’s not my favorite job, but I could potentially work in a clinic as well once my availability fits, depending on what openings they have in the clinics. The company advertises employee benefits such as career growth opportunities, tuition reimbursement, loan forgiveness, just to name a few. The company also has occupational therapy, and some of my classmates who have done internships here have mentioned they might assist with paying for graduate schooling. Being a DSP isn’t my first choice of job, but if it means opening the door to these other opportunities should I take it?
