How was your baby shower?

I haven’t had mine yet, still 1.5 weeks away. 
But for those of you that have had yours, how was it? Did you get good turnout? What theme did you have? What food did you serve? What did you get for baby that you love? Do you have a bunch of returns or things still to buy? Did anyone use your registry? What did you wear?

Mine was wonderful! We had about 150 people. We served appetizers and full menu of dinner. Everyone had a wonderful time .We received so many gifts! Some from the registry most were not. We are so grateful for all the love and support that we have.

I had my main shower In December. We invited around 60 people. I couldn’t keep track of who all came because some people drifted in and out. It was a good turnout. It was woodland themed because her nursery is woodland themed and some of the things we used will be used in her nursery. We got a lot of great things, really only needed a few small things after that that I used gift cards to buy. Most everyone used the registry or got things that they used with their children and loved. I only had to return one thing because of it being a duplicate.

Had mine  on the  19th. Got lots of the stuff we needed. So far no duplicates.  
I cant wait to meet my baby boy. Im still trying to get all the thank you cards out.

I had mine at my house last Saturday since we have a big back yard and the weather was nice. About 30 people showed up including friends, coworkers, and family.
My friend planned everything but since she doesn't have FB I posted the event with a link to my Amazon registry which was really helpful. Everything on the registry got bought (about 30 items) and I got a lot of stuff not on the registry too.
She served spicy meatballs, a couple of veggie trays, chocolate covered strawberries and pretzels, and a cake. She made margaritas and some people brought their own champagne for mimosas. 
She also decorated everything and coordinated the games and even had a hair bow making station for the kids that came so the baby would have personalized hair bows.
She did a diaper raffle which was super helpful because we got about 15 huge boxes of diapers in all sizes so we hopefully wont have to buy them for a while.
My husband I both wore blue, even though we are having a girl. I didn't even think of it until after. 
I was very surprised and thankful for such a great turn out ☺

Just had my baby shower on Saturday. We had it at a restaurant and served Italian sausage, pasta, pizza, salad and dessert! It was a great turn out
And we got a lot of great stuff and a $1000 in visa gift cards , checks, and buybuy baby gift cards. We still have a lot to purchase so the money will be helpful! We also got a lot of repeat items we will have to exchange/return. It’s like no one used the registry to take items purchased off 😂 also no one gave us receipts !! At the end of the day it was a great shower! I hope you have an amazing time at yours.

My main shower was in Dec. in my hometown since I live 4 hours away. We had about 15-20 people - pretty good turnout, as I had kept the guest list small. We had it at a restaurant and had a fruit/cheese tray, then various lunch entrees to choose from (salmon, chicken chopped salad, pot roast, & chicken over pasta). It was delicious! Had cake & cookies for dessert. Didn't need to decorate much since it was Christmas time but our cake reflected our nursery theme - zoo animals. Here are a few pics. The dress I wore is knee length. I had black tights on & black flats.

Then I had a small local shower where I live a couple of weeks ago. Just 5 of us, in someone's home. We had quiche, salad, fruit, & cupcakes. Blue decor for our boy & jungle themed cupcakes. I dressed more casually - grey leggings, striped maternity sweater, & boots. Cupcakes:

More people shopped off registry at my hometown shower, while more shopped the registry for my local shower as well as work shower (just had that one last Fri.) I did got 7 nail clippers at my hometown shower & can only return 1 since the others didn't come with a gift receipt. Most people didn't include one, which is very annoying! Will end up donating them. Also got like 30 wash clothes. Again, no clue where some came from & no gift receipts.

We had our shower this past weekend and it went great! It was the first time either of our families have interacted and they were great. Everyone had a blast, we got most of what was on our registry. I noticed people didn't buy bottles or bath supplies, some people are super picky and don't want to assume or get the wrong one. I'm just thankful we got everything I spend today nesting and sorting clothes to be washed and receiving blankets.

Mine is Saturday and I’ll be officially 36 weeks but baby Boys is measuring two weeks ahead. The doc hasn’t changed my due date but is telling me to be ready because he can come at anytime. So it’s possible he’ll be here anytime since my other 2 boys were both two weeks early. Two coworkers of mine have been planning my shower since they day I found out I was pregnant, and I am so appreciative of all the hard work they have put in. My MIL will be catering the meal (she owns a local restaurant.) We’re having baked chicken, rice, green beans, Mac and cheese, dinner rolls. The drinks will be tea, lemonade, punch, water.  I’m big as a house so I have no idea what I’m gonna wear. To be honest I’d go completely naked if I could.

Ours was Saturday! We had about 30 people there. We did a “story book” theme - served Brunch, and had books sitting around with the food that matched the food being served. (For example - “Dog Wants A Doughnut” was sitting next to doughnuts.) Lots of ideas on Pinterest if u search it. I’d say about 1/3 used the registries. Several gave us money for items we still needed and thankful for that! I have one return - we got two travel systems. If baby came today, we have all the necessities - just a few breast feeding items I feel I need right away. I wore a maternity dress I bought from Macy’s.
