Two years to conceive, Preeclampsia, Intrauterine growth restriction , Gestational Diabetes, Arrhythmia and placenta previa. Sent to a hospital 270 miles from home. Hospitalized 4 times (almost 5) starting at 28 weeks

Baby 3lbs 14oz born at 35 week

Via emergency a C Section

Baby went to NICU due to her size

Didn’t get to see baby right away after the birth because I fainted (Magnesium is a hell of a drug) also my IV blew up. My husband went with her after I got to the recovery room. They let him FaceTime me.

Gave birth at 11:11am didn’t meet her until the next day at 2pm when I came off mag.

Retained 30lbs of water for no known reason before birth. My face was swollen. I lost 40lbs in 3 day. Peed like CRAZY.

Still on fluid restriction and only Slept 9 hours in 3 days but finally got to meet her. She was smaller than I expected because she stopped growing at 32 weeks.

I was released from the hospital 4 days after my CSection (8 days total)

Then I was readmitted 2 days later for sky rocketing Blood pressure. I was released again after 5 days. Two days after my last release I was almost readmitted for BP but they were able to stabilize me with water pills and an ace inhibitor.

The water pills caused my milk to dry up and was no longer able to provide milk.My baby was given donated breast milk then switched to formula, which broke my heart as i used to tell myself “at least I can breastfeed, my body didn’t fail at that.”
