Formula?

Question

Any other mamas switching from breast milk to formula already? I gave myself a goal of making it 3 months and I’ve been supplementing for a couple weeks and today is her first day eating only formula bottles (besides being nursed this morning!) I could use some encouraging words, I’m feeling so guilty for throwing in the towel already but my PPD is so bad I need a break

I’m almost there my little one has always had one bottle at night and I have this week increased to two bottles so gradually going to increase thinking by 4 months he will be on full bottle I also feel bad but like you I’m tired and a doctor told me we have done amazing for them to have so much breast already x

I know it’s hard not to feel guilty but don’t beat yourself up!! My goal is 6 months but only time will tell! You’ve done a great thing for tour baby and she will be fine and grow and never know how she was fed unless you tell her! I was a formula baby. 🤷🏼‍♀️ a sane and happy momma is best for baby.

With my first I breastfed until 3 months , but then I got mastitis really bad to the point I was in the hospital and I ended up stopping (I got it twice) but now I know what to do and not to do . So here I am with my second and was gonna switch to formula around 5-6 months but LO won’t even dare take the bottle and it is a struggle . So since I’m a SAHM I’ll try to breastfeed aslong as I can

I'm on the verge. We are battling a dairy allergy and it's taking a toll on me. But, trying to find a formula that sets well with her and the dairy allergy will be harder then me just limiting my diet ☹ and the hypoallergenic formulas cost a arm and a leg. Plus, I am so afraid of formula, everyone always tells me it makes their little ones constipated.

With my first kid I did the same. But he was like 6 months old. I ended up changing my mind and even though he protested at first, I put him back to the breast. It was rough going back and forth!
