I live in a suburb of Detroit, MI. It is -6 today with a windchill of -40.. record breaking temps. We just got some new neighbors about a month ago who seem pretty nice, BUT they seem to leave their dog out 24/7. I can’t really say 100% that it’s 24/7 because I’m not always out, but I’m like 90% sure they do. Either way, it’s been all over the news that pets should not be left outside today AT ALL let alone all day. So I’m sitting in my living room and I see this dog running across my front yard at least 4 times. This happens often because they leave their gate wide open. I’m just not having it today.. imo it’s animal abuse and I called the police. I specifically said I didn’t want to give my address because I don’t want problems, but I knew the car in the driveway and the address across the street. 10 minutes later the police come slowly by looking for the house and of course, THEY COME TO MY DOOR ASKING IF I HAVE A BROWN LAB. I told him “next door”. I’m worried about having problems with my new neighbors, but I know I’m in the right here. What would you do?
