Ovulating on the pill??

Question

I take my pill everyday but during my fertile week I test to make sure I’m safe. Is this possible??

Answer

Based on what my OB said, your hormones will still spike causing the positive ovulation test but the egg shouldn’t release if you’ve taken the pill correctly. In short, ovulation tests when on the pill don’t work to show if the pills working or not.
I asked because I wanted to do the same and double check they were working!
