Does a person who’s going to celebrate 26 do they need gifts?

I want to celebrate my sons First Birthday and mine birthday (26)!together but one of my sister in laws was like you don’t need gifts of course joking but idk after that I’m rethinking if I should only do my sons now and forget about mines? We were supposed to celebrate it separate but things came up and we want to celebrate it on my weekend for my birthday. My husband even said it’s better so we won’t have to do two parties again and just do a bigger party for the both of us. We are both from February and I can’t no longer change dates. But idk should I celebrate both and have a bigger party or just celebrate my sons? I know a lot of people would rather just go out and eat
