My labor started at 2:45 AM on 1/16/19 went to the hospital got checked I was 4 cm ... we got admitted by 4:45 I had my epidural & my water broke...... at first the epidural was only working on my right side.... fine.. contractions were not super intense.... by 7:30 I was 7 cm & by that time the contractions were INTENSE & the epidural was no longer working they tried to give me more every 30 min but no matter what they did.... I felt EVERYTHING. By 8:30 I was 9 cm & they were surprised I was progressing so fast for a first pregnancy..... well then I stalled at 9 cm it was 10 am and had not progressed so they said we had to start pitocin which i was NOT happy about considering I was hysterical in tears from so much pain already I was scared to death...... by 11 :30 I was 10 cm and was told we had to start pushing. It took me 3 hours to push her out..... and I was so close to passing out from the pain & exhaustion I thought we were headed for an emergency c -section bc they told us 3 hrs was the limit they let you push...... well finally I got the strength and idk how ....but she came out face up and weighing 7lbs 15oz. 20 inches long. That’s a big baby for my size.... im a small & petite woman typically 113lbs before pregnancy....... she gave me a level 2 tear and some vicious hemhroids .... but my god she is beautiful and I’m so in love!!!!!!!! Here’s my babygirl!
