My Testimony

Jaclyn

In July of 2016 I remember starting my period and gosh it was heavy. At the time I believed, since I was always irregular, it was just finally flushing out for the months missed. I bled for practically the entire month except the last week and seeing HUGE clots everytime I knew the cycle was more than just abnormal. I visited my Dr. and I was sent for blood work. He called me the very next morning and urged me to go to the hospital because my hemoglobin was at a 4. (The safe zone is 12) At the hospital I was diagnosed with anemia. I learned I had a polyp in my uterus which was causing all the blood loss. I was recommended to see an OBGYN. She was able to remove it through surgery, but gave me more news. She thought I may had cancer cells growing in my uterus. It was definitely not what I wanted to hear. She also told me that I had enlarged ovaries and they were both filled with cysts. She started me with progesterone shots before having the surgery to get my overies resized and cyst-free. I would go to her office every Monday, Wednesday and Friday until it was time for surgery again. During the procedure she did a biopsy and the results were cancer free and I have my uterus, thankfully to our Heavenly Father. My ovaries are now near normal size and we learned my body lacks in producing progesterone on its own. I now take pills instead of the shots during my cycle for 10 days. My menstrual cycle has now been regular ever since. I am thankful about how everything was just placed together and I was able to get the help I needed and overcome through it all. Fast forward to today, I am happily married, in such a better place as an individual, and truely blessed.

I hope my story can reach out in any way possible and if there's any questions I am here to help, I'd love to give advice to other women who have had similar experiences and/or who are experiencing it now.
