When to take a pregnancy test

I am 14 DPO. Cycle day 33. The app tells me my period should have started today. I am having cramps so I think AF should come soon but nothing yet. When should I take a test? I have had so many negatives that I’m scared for the disappointment a BFN gives.

Are you normally on time I am and I took mine the next day and found out I was pregnant but had a fant line hope that helps good luck
