Any 14-15 month olds still not walking?

My daughter will be 15 months on the 12th and she can only take 5-6 steps at the most. My pediatrician said it was normal (12mo appointment) but wanted to have it checked out by 15 months if she still wasn't there. Any other mamas have a late walker?

My sisters daughter is 16months and has never taken any steps. My nephew started walking at 19months.

14 months and he takes a couple steps or walks with help but he’s not very interested since he can crawl faster.

My daughter just turned 14 months a few days ago and she is cruising up a storm and occasionally walks behind a push toy. She doesn’t stand alone yet and obviously hasn’t taken any steps independently yet. I think she is just on a later curve for gross motor skills. She sat up at 6 mos, army crawled at 9 mos, started regular crawling and cruising at 12 mos. but she also has 12 teeth, says 7 words, etc so maybe she has just been busy cutting teeth and being verbal. If she still isn’t walking in a month I will look into it. I am concerned but I also realize the range for walking is 9 mos-18 mos so I need to try to be patient and let her develop on her timeline and not be competitive with other babies.

I mean, I get it - my daughter is 14 months and all people ask is if she’s walking. And I am glad I can say yes - specially since she was born with an open spine. But the point I want to make is - please - don’t worry so much. We aaaaall learned how to walk, some kids are busy interested in other things and walk around 18 months, if then your baby still doesn’t walk, you can start worrying a little. I worried so much about so many stupid things that i wish I hadn’t.
