Waiting for a miscarriage...

Found out I was pregnant on the 27th December , went for an early scan at 5 weeks and they saw the sac and yolk.... went back at 8 weeks and there was the sac , yolk and foetal pole but no heartbeat and it hadn’t grown as they would have expected...4mm at 8 weeks indicating it was measuring more like 6 weeks.

Now having to wait till Tuesday so they can rescan and decide what to do :( is it bad that I would rather just go for a d&c than wait through this traumatic time 😢?
