Thrush or milk tongue?

Question

How should a milk tongue look after you wipe it? Should it be pink like the rest of the tongue? My daughter has white on her tongue and I can’t wipe it off. I’m thinking she has thrush but I’m not 100%. She has a dr appt later this afternoon. She doesn’t seem to be in pain when eating. Can I see your pics of before wiping milk tongue and after wiping?

My pediatrician told us this is milk tongue and unless it’s in their mouth/lips/cheek, not to worry. She also said it may get thicker. I worried about the same thing, but let me know what your pediatrician says!

If it won’t wipe off it’s almost definitely thrush
