When to move in with SO?

Me and my boyfriend have been talking about getting engaged. However, he doesn't want to move in together until we are married and I want to move in together when we are engaged. I feel like for as long as we've been together, when we're engaged and planning a wedding, we should live together. I don't see the problem with that but he does... Idk what to do 😓

My husband and I moved in within a week of dating. It was very early but we knew from the beginning it was going to work out. I honestly think everyone who plans on getting married should move in together before hand to make sure you can stand each other after being together 24/7 and after all the other glorious things that come with living together

Living together can definitely be challenging sometimes, especially if you've never lived with anyone else. We moved in together after a yearish of dating. Got engaged, married, pregnant and still living together 3 years later :) I say sit down and talk and see if you can come to a compromise. What if you wait until you are engaged? Ask him why he feels that way and why so strongly. And vise versa, tell him why you feel the way you do. Honestly we felt a little wrong about living together and having sex before we were married. But given the situation we were in (well the moving in part, not sex), I think God understands and has forgiven us. Every couple is different, and you will figure it out. You have to work together and find compromises (when possible, there are some things you just sacrifice sometimes for the ones you love). You are a team!
