When someone is wanting to date you for their own benefit and you don’t like them but they try to talk you into it.

Example: a boy wants to ‘date’ a girl but the girl doesn’t like him do the boy tries to talk the girl into dating him (says he’ll buy her things, make sure she’s fed, and taken care of,etc) but they never go out on dates, barely see each other face to face, barely communicate, etc

This is happening to me now and idk what to call it. I say it as ‘the boy is trying to claim me’ or I might call it ‘fake dating’
