New baby, how did your March baby react?

Just brought home baby #2. My March guy has taken it all in stride. He’s pointed to him a few times, but for the most part ignores him. How long did it take your March baby to interact with your new baby?

We had no issues, it was a super smooth easy transition. My March baby is highly independent though so that may have made the change easier.

My little guy didn’t show much interest in his little sister at first. As far as jealousy he likes to sit with me when I’m feeding her and he will try to hold her bottle. He also likes to take off with her bottle and her pacifier, sometimes they go in his mouth other times he just holds on to them until I realize. He can be sneaky. But he loves to hold her and give her kisses. He’s little too so he needs a lot of help. But I think he loves her

My March baby was super excited for her sister. Only had a couple problems of jealousy. Now that my new baby is almost 3 months old, my March baby still plays with her and looks for her but she has to constantly be told not to feed her. Walked out of the kitchen one day and my 3 month old had a piece of sausage in her mouth because my March baby thought she could share. Lol.

One Min he’s loving wants to hug and love on him the next he’s trying to poke his eye or steal he’s pacifier (he does sucks on it he just takes it and throws it )we really never know what going to happen with 2 under 2!!!😂😂😂

Well I'm currently 36 weeks so still not sure how March baby will react, but with my March baby I had a 2 year old at home who did the same thing! I was so surprised because I thought he would be jealous and angry but he honestly just ignored her. I think she was a good 6-8 weeks old before he showed much interest in her. He then became the sweetest big brother, giving her kisses and trying to help take care of her. To this day he really never showed many signs of jealousy. Maybe you will get lucky and your LO will be the same!

My newborn came feb 2 and at first she didn’t care but now she occasionally loves on her and shows interest. She calls her baby dolls the same name as her sister and practices diapers. You could try a doll.

I've just found out I'm pregnant and hoping that my March 2017 daughter is great with her younger sibling, she's really good with younger children and tends to mother then so I fingers crossed.
How did you all go about introducing the new baby etc

It took a good two weeks for my Almost 2 Year old to care about his new brother.  He never talked about him or really acknowledged that he was there.  Now when he cries he tells me he’s crying then wants to give baby a hug.

No issues here! My daughter would sit and cuddle her brother all day if I let her!

My daughter either adores her sister ( born Dec 5 ) or is raging with jealousy 🤷‍♀️ She will give the baby her pacifier, touch her and say baby sister, look for her in the morning when she wakes up, try to pretend play with her tea set while the baby is in the bouncer. She also will cry sometimes and hit the baby’s leg when I’m holding her if she wants to be picked up.
