Ovulation test as pregnancy test????

So I read online that ovulation tests can work as pregnancy tests... well long story short I'm out of pregnancy tests and I have ovulation tests. My af is due in 4 to 5 days... what's up?

You can get a darker test line before period due to sometimes having an lh surge prior to period starting. So these aren’t indicative of pregnancy.

You always have lh in your system and will get a faint line any time you take an ovulation test. It cannot tell you if you're pregnant
