Stop attending holidays/visiting family?

Recently my SIL found out she is having a girl. On my husbands side there is four boys and no girls so everyone but me, my husband and my other SIL were excited. We weren't excited because my SIL has the youngest boy (3mos) And i have a 14 month old( second youngest) and no one from husbands side cared enough to visit in the hospital or even get anything for our sons because we were told "really, another boy?" They didnt even come to the baby shower my family planned and paid for, even though they were all invited. None of them even visit even though we live 5 mintues away from most of them. On Christmas and birthdays all the boys get the same things (which isnt fair because they're 7 yrs,4yrs, 14 months and 3 months) my son can never even play with any of the things because they're way too advanced for him at this age. I feel like the boys are going to be tossed aside for this girl, because they're already grouped together and it doesnt seem like my husbands side cares about them at all. My question is, should we stop going to christmas/ holidays on my husbands side since they don't really care about our son?
