Which birth control do you use and do you like it?

I want to switch from the pill to something more long term but I've heard some terrible stories about these forms of birth control. Tell me which you like the most!

Implant is great if you don't want to conceive for a good period of time (protects up to three years) but you can have it taken out at any time :) I love it because I don't have to think about it, ever! And my husband doesn't have to worry about condoms :) worry free and basically symptom free. The first 2 weeks I had a long period, but now nothing :) and it's great!!!

I have the implant and I've had it for three years in December (so I'll be getting a new one) and honestly, I haven't had terrible side effects. The worst one is that my period, when I get it, is very irregular. I've had 7 day cycles to 75 day cycles. It's mostly normalized now, and I just kept really good track of it so I would have some kind of clue of when to be prepared. Other than that, nothing got worse. I can't say if anything (such as cramps) got better because I've never had regular symptoms, even before BC.

I used to be on the pill but i would forget to take it at the same time everyday. Now i have an IUD. I honestly hate it because i get so moody & emotional. I hate birth control period because it messes with your hormones & youre just all out of wack. But hey if your gonna have sex & don't want babies you have no choice.

My first bc was depo for 6 months then I got skyla because I was paranoid about pregnancy (even with pull out and condoms on top of depo). They both have their pros and cons. I liked depo, except for the little weight gain, but then again I needed the weight. So far I've survived my skyla pains and I don't want to take it out any time soon, but it really depo ends on each individual person
