Can baby drop at 33 weeks?
I’ve had a sudden change in symptoms and I’m starting to worry the baby dropped too early.
For the last few weeks I’ve had shortness of breath, bad indigestion and heartburn, and rib pain because I was carrying high and the kid was lodged in my ribs. And most of the movements I’ve felt were just below my ribs.
Now as of the last two days my breathing has gotten better, appetite increased, had next to no heartburn and all the movements are now not nearly as close to my ribs. And I’ve had pressure on my pelvis like I haven’t felt before. It feels like the baby is pressing downward now or something.
I had a few friends tell me they think the baby dropped and I didn’t think it was a big deal, but I just read that most first time moms go into labour 2-4 weeks after the baby dropping? Is that true? That worries me a bit that baby will come between 35 and 37 weeks.
Could I still go full term if the baby dropped? Or do you think I didn’t drop, it’s all in my head?
Would love some advice from experienced mamas :)
