Head and shoulders actually dried out my scalp even more than it already was!!

it helps a lot but don’t use it every time you wash your hair...use it kind of on and off and see if it works for you... also sometimes the dryness and flaky skin comes from an overly oily scalp, which usually comes from washing your hair every day so if you can wash your half every second or third day

Head and shoulders stops the scalp of everything including the oils, so will take away the dandruff that’s there but keep it going on as a long term problem. I have tried neutragena  T Gell and found that definitely works better, but my best results have come from avoiding using any chemicals on my scalp, and using the lush shampoo bars (I have eczema on my scalp so a bit different to just dandruff)
