Have you guys went to the ob to confirm your pregnancy? I have four very clear positives so I didn't know if it was still 'necessary' to go and confirm.

Yes, you need to see a doctor to have it confirmed.  A doctor will request blood to confirm the pregnancy and check your HCG levels.  This is important.

I went and I'm 5 weeks 4 days I just got it confirmed & I go back for an ultrasound in about 3 weeks

I was lucky enough to have scheduled an appointment for a physical two days ago, so they were actually able to confirm it at 4 weeks and get a couple things out of the way!  I go back in 3 weeks for blood work, vaccines, and an ultrasound.

Side note: I just had a tetanus shot in April, and they're making me get another one!  So annoying, but I guess it makes sense to have all the fresh antibodies to give the kid.  But still!

I called my ob (new one I've never been to bc I just moved) and the office scheduled me for 8 weeks. They simply asked me the first day of my last period and that's it! No blood work yet. I was told from a new friend that at that first appt the Ob will use an ultrasound machine right in the office and if there are any concerns then she will order blood work, etc... Same protocol in a didn't state last year when I was pregnant with my son. But it sounds like each office is different.
