What kind of test will the doctor order? 😓

If I’m complaining with lower back pains and mucus in my stool, what kind of tests will the doctor order?

Answer

Stool samples to test for any infections or parasites. Most likely a blood test because doctors like fresh ones (this will show if there's any signs of cancer or anything). And possibly a colonoscopy if this has been going on for a long time. This does not mean you have cancer, infection, or anything. 
I have had mucus in my stool for two years now, back pains, abdominal pains, abdominal swelling, vomiting, constipation, diarrhea, etc. I've had colonoscopies, endoscopies, multiple blood tests and stool samples. Nothing. But don't give up if its uncomfortable or is interfering with your daily life. I refuse to let doctors ignore me and I encourage you to do the same.
Sometimes if it's not obvious, they send you away until it's obvious. Especially if you're young, they'll most likely not even be concerned. I'll be 21 later this month and my CT scans look like a 60 year old, but they still haven't found jack shit.

Answer

When stool has visible mucus, it can be a sign of bacterial infections, anal fissures, a bowel obstruction, or Crohn's disease. Those will probably be the first things they look for.
