Essential Oils found in products??

Question

I'm not huge into oils but I do buy many natural products that contain essential oils as fragrance. I bought a massage bar from LUSH which contains Lavender which I read may not be safe for pregnancy. LUSH does claim its products to be safe for pregnancy as the the oils are diluted in thier products. Just wondering if any of you lovely ladies know more about the use of oils and safety during pregnancy.

Lavender is def safe .. and products w EOs in them are fine. They are SO diluted it doesnt make a difference. I use lush shampoo, conditioner, and body wash everyday and all is well :). I also put 1-2 drops of straight frankincense EO in my face lotion daily

Lavender is mild. It was one of the oils passed around at my birthing class for us to smell. There was one (can’t remember which now) that we were specially told not to open and smell because it can induce labor. I diffused and wore oils my entire pregnancy including lavender.

I read to avoid all essential oils in first trimester and then choose from a safe list in second and third.  (Lavender is considered one of the safe ones) I think this is if you’re using straight essential oils for therapies.  I still use my bath bombs because they’re nice and mild.  Any overwhelming smells make me vomit though so essential oils aren’t something I’d use now anyway 😂

I’m not too sure about lavender, but my lotion has eucalyptus in it, and I use it almost every morning. I read something online about essential oils being okay after the first trimester? I’m not too sure though
