What kind of birth control are you on/prefer??

I’m trying to decide which birth control method I should use, I’m considering the shot because I’m really bad with pills. I’m open to other methods of birth control and I know each and every body is different and experience different things, but how was your experience with your birth control? Any symptoms? 
** Those who had the shot or still do, how was/is it for you?

Implant for me. Longer term, no periods. 
Had the shot in summer 2017 and apart from it stopping my periods it was an awful experience, lost my sex drive, constantly tired, gained weight, wild mood swings where I’d snap at people for no reason and I got diagnosed with anxiety and depression (my anxiety was through the roof). I had 2 shots. My periods never went back to normal, I had to go on the mini pill 7 months after I stopped depo to regulate me again before they would let me have the implant again.

Did the shot for 6 months gained 60 pounds, made migraines and mood swings worse. Took my periods away which I loved because they're super heavy. Pills never changed anything too much. Now have the mirena IUD also has taken my periods away but without other horrible side effects like depo. I love it.

I just got the nexplanon implant 4 weeks ago. So far it’s great. I did notice a little more acne than usual (which can be period side effects) and a slight change of mood. They say you become irregular with your periods which I can already tell but they’ve also become lighter. But other than that, perfect option since I don’t have to worry about it and it’s long term.

Switched from the patch to nuvaring yesterday.

I tried the pill and I liked it, but I had really bad side effects and I didn’t like taking it every day sometimes. I forgot it at home and I was late to take it, so I switched to Nexplanon and I love it! No crazy side effects, no periods, no need to remind myself about taking something daily.. AMAZING!

I have lots of trouble on the pill. Reading the fine print on everything freaks me out. We just use condoms. I use this app to help me have some "barrier free time"...

I am sensitive to hormones to I went the copper IUD route. Although there was no lasting pain after insertion past the first few days I spiked a fever during the 2 month after placement was checked and it was in my cervix and no longer in my uterus which caused PID. Now on the progesterone pill and def not happy about having to take something daily. 😞
