Constipated?

I'm 5 weeks and super constipated and bloated. Anyone else experiencing this? Does anyone know how to treat constipation during pregnancy? I have a feeling this is going to be a problem for me through this whole pregnancy.

I called my ob nurse because I was so constipated and she told me to take milk of mag and mix with a glass of prune juice and it helped SO MUCH😆😂

It's normal to be both - progesterone slows your digestion to increase nutrient absorption, which can have the added bonus of constipation and/or bloating. Drink plenty of fluids and eat fiber-rich foods, especially before bed.

Lots and lots of fluids. I'm dealing with that right now as well. Also, anything rich in fiber.

I am having the same problem..its due to all the changes in your body and also from prenatal vitamins. My Dr has me taking a stool softener... The generic form of colace is what I take. Also up your water intake...good luck...hope you feel better!
