What’s The Most Useless Baby Product?

Ha

Ha

What was the one item that you either bought or were given for your baby that you never used or turned out to be a waste of money?

For me, it was a swing that a friend gave us. My son never liked it and we ended up just giving it away when he was 8 weeks.

Wipe warmer

I end up pulling out a ton of wipes at a time! Lol I hate that.

I loved my wipe warmer 🤷‍♀️ it was nice using a warm wipe rather than a cold one, especially in the middle of winter, I used wipes for everything! Also when taking wipes out of normal containers, they stuck together and you ended up with like 3, with the wipe warmer I only took 1 every time.

I love our warmer, less shocking for baby, and I find it easier to clean messes up. Also nice to have a warm wipe to clean around his neck if he has spit up

Baby shoes. I was gifted several pairs that baby has never worn or only wore once for a picture.

I actually wanted one until I got it. I tried it just to see how it worked and that was it. So useless bc it would take twice as long as using the microwave and with a screaming baby that's a big nope for me lol

The stupid grass drying rack ! I’m still mad about it lol. It got moldy and was gross so easily even with cleaning it. Yeah. Pass.

We didn’t have a dishwasher at the time

I love that thing! And yea it can get moldy, so we just run it through the dishwasher 1-2 a week.

Bassinet.

Yeah we got a pack n play with bassinet from my in laws. We originally had the pack n play downstairs and the bassinet in our room. Since he outgrew the bassinet so quick we moved the pack n play to our room.

But that’s the thing, 2-3 weeks is not very much time compared to a pack and play with a bassinet - which you can just remove the bassinet and use until the child is a year. Children outgrow the bassinet sooo fast, by the time they can roll over it’s not safe and most parents room share well beyond that.

My son is 5 weeks and still uses his bassinet. I love it cause his crib doesn’t fit in our room and he’s still right next to us!

Lol I work at a daycare to but we just use the trash can😂 it’s never smelled bad, it’s a covered one. Plus we would need A LOT of diaper genies. Those stupid things fill up to fast. With 20 kids that we got

We tie up poopy diapers in tiny green bags and then put them in the genie for an extra layer to fight the stinky

I work in a daycare and change three babies diapers every two hours (sometimes more) and i couldn’t imagine not having the diaper genie in the nursery. Keeps the diapers away from everything else, minimizes the smell, and easy to tie up and throw in the big trash bag to go out to the dumpster at the end of the day.

Weirdly, our baby bath thing. It was mesh and similarly shaped to a bouncer, and it was so much easier to just hold our sons in the shower or in our laps when we took a bath 🤷🏻‍♀️
